Brigadier General John Obasa (Rtd.) | BOARD CHAIRMAN

Brig. Gen. Obasa (Rtd.) is a highly accomplished and distinguished retired Officer of the Nigerian Army. Until his voluntary retirement in March 2019, he served in several capacities, notably: Director, Nigerian Army Library Service; Director, Nigerian Army Archives; Director, Research and Development Defence Industries Corporation Kaduna; Division Education Officer; Director Library, Archives and Publications Nigerian Army Resource Centre.

Brig. Gen. Obasa (Rtd.) also previously served as Administrative Officer, Command Secondary School Lagos; Instructor, Nigerian Military School Zaria; Staff Officer Grade II Training, HQ Nigerian Army Education Corps; Research Officer, Institute of Army Education; Commandant, Command Secondary School Abakaliki; Commandant, Command Secondary School Mbiri; Commandant, Command Day Secondary School Kaduna; Deputy Commandant, Nigerian Military School Zaria.

Brig. Gen. Obasa (Rtd.) is a passionate advocate of education, state and civil security, and national development. He has attended multiple trainings, workshop and conferences which were aimed at deepening his knowledge and expertise on issues of civil security and asset protection.

Brig. Gen. Obasa (Rtd.) holds a Masters’ Degree in Geographic Information Systems, from the University of Ibadan; as well as a Bachelors’ Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Ilorin.
